Is it just me or has anyone else been experiencing higher levels of micromanagement from their supervisor within the last 2 months? Is this a sign of upcoming reduction of staff? Please share your thoughts or even recent experiences.

My manager started sending me emails that just had the ring of having been :BCC'd to upper management. Alerting me to stuff I was not doing. Stuff like that.
I had been hired to do the job that two analysts with 20+ years experience had been doing, and both had gone M.I.A. into other Fiserv jobs. I was told they would get me some help, but that never transpired. Promises from my manager.
So, you can guess my attitude got pretty poor....given that I was being given a workload that was too big for one person, and I had been trying to carve out my position, learning on the fly because I was the lone g-n.
Fast forward to the manager's emails, and her push to get people cross-trained on my job. Eventually, I got the 3 month notice.
I am way better off now.
Our Director and his VP are being micromanaged. It isn’t just us nothings. The reason for Sapience. Being questioned about any break from the keyboard
Yes I'm in an Account Executive role and pressure has been ramped up. My manager is not a big time micromanager but constantly reminding me that we all need to hit goal this year and everyone is in the spotlight. It's been fun.
Oh right. All knowledge transfer documents are due at the end of the month.
Yes. And in FIG we are now having to fill out knowledge transfer documents which include processes, meetings, applications used for our job, projects we’re working on and documentation we have for that project. They are also monitoring sapience, daily reports are being run and if under 7 busy hours we are being questioned on what we were working on.
