Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Most of you should leave

There are 3 types of employees that should be at Fiserv:

Those with little time left before retirement and too much invested to leave.

Young people gaining experience to take elsewhere.

Offshore. These are the preferred employees and without a doubt the future.

Everyone else should leave.

If/when the market turns around most people won't stay after these abuses that's for sure. Doesn't matter how much begging there is.

Have faith! I promise you that the job market isn't cr-p. Get a fresh set of eyes on your resume, pay to have it re-done, pay the pricier Linkedin rate, set aside time every day to look for jobs and apply as appropriate. Craft your cover letter and resume to the job you're applying to. You can do this. You're not stuck where you're at. Take time for yourself and take care of yourself and get a job that allows you to do exactly that. It will take time. Don't give up. None of us were put on this planet to feel disrespected or not valued.

Sometimes you need to look at others industries which are hiring and retool yourself. As AI continues to grow the job market with also change as the jobs we have today will or may no longer exist 4-5 years from now. I left Fiserv after 25+ years as I was completely worn out, unhappy and hated going to work though I liked my teammates, just hated what the company became and lack of direction in FIG. Not a good way to live my life as there was no work life balance. Moving to a different industry.

The job market will continue to worsen. AI will reduce positions and Sapience will assist management in making layoff decisions.

Hard to argue with the thought process... unfortunately for most of us the job market is cr-p. As soon as it turns around FI will be begging people to stay
