I have heard they are normally in the morning. However, what is the latest in the day you heard anyone being laid off?

Nothing was scheduled, was pinged out of the blue for impromptu call. I knew what it was for and I was right. It took 10 minutes at most. I too hid my happiness by basically saying nothing more than ok - I see. I am so glad I did not retire on March 1st as I had planned. Held out specifically for this. Painful, but I did it!
I don't know how long it was before my access was shut off. I've been cleaning house since they started talking about location strategy the first time - before covid - so didn't need to do anything more than send my farewell email (pre-composed), shut down, and go out for a celebratory lunch. Hallelujah - it's over!
Good luck to everyone else who are still waiting!
My call was in the form of a rescheduled preexisting meeting. Was early in the morning. I had a hard time concealing my glee, because I was planning to retire in 2 months anyway. They basically gave me a year’s worth of salary to leave a couple months before I was already going to. Full disclosure, I never told them about my retirement plans.
My call was at 2:15 CT and I still had computer access when I signed off at about 4:00.
It really su-ks for West Coast folks like me who were laid off but had access cut off at 2 PM EST. You have almost no time to say goodbye or wrap things up. But then again, being remote meant no one escorted me out of the building.
Morning time. They shut off access at 12:00 local time
It was early, quick, painless and utterly lovely. I only had one question and that was when would my last severance payment be paid. Best stroke of good luck ever. Scroooew the new heartless mngt clowns running the sheet show. Life rolls on after getting booted from the stagecoach.
9AM CT today we got notified our manager was impacted.
I also got a call, no meeting. And access was cut off well before 2 ET.
I think they all have to be done by like 2pm est I think -- the system cuts all those people off at that time -- but not sure.
When I was laid off it was about 9am my time zone. Some people have reported getting a mandatory meeting request first thing in the morning but for me I received no heads-up, it was just a phone call on my personal phone number telling me I was laid off.
