Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

The platform is toxic

You feel better after reading these mostly BS comments? This platform is worse than Fox News. Really, a waste of your time, there are great support groups out there you can have a meaningful conversation with about all what is great and all what’s bad about Nike.

Sounds like OP read something on here that hurt his or her feelings. This platform is important for ppl to share thoughts without retribution

Straight male here. Big bo--s, little bo--s, real bo--s, fake bo--s, all bo--s. Love them all. Prefer real, not big, but any will do.

Botox lips, he-l no.

A sr leader came back from vacation and she looked ten years younger. No Botox or bo-b jobs, something else. Her skin was younger, her face was younger. Looked ten years healthier from head to toe. Never had the guts to ask but assumed it was something like this:

https://www.livemint.com/news/world/us-techie-bryan-johnson-uses-sons-blood-talmage-to-stay-young-heres-how-he-reversed-aging-watch/amp-11684911691905.html

Question though, do botox jobs perform over time? When you’re ancient, is it like doubling down on the ugly bus when you did it in ur youth but not maintained as a sr citizen?

TRUE! While our leaders on GT were hiding in an off site in Seattle, we had to come here to check what was happening.

OP must be someone up on the food chain trying to justify the culture we are subjected to

And oddly yet, it was the only main resource for employees to get reliable information due to the lack of internal communication from leadership. Go figure.

It’s not the platform, Nike’s culture is toxic. Very much like high school, nice to your face but will stab you in the back if needed. The lack of any sense of leadership leads to fear, anyone that speaks up or challenges anything is kicked out. Horrific place to work, oh and they so underpay. Nike is a joke and will be the the new Under Armour in a few years.

Very ironic - you can also not come here if you are not ready for criticism. 😂😂😂😂

Nike is not Hotel California. Check out if you hate it so much. And let those who love working at the Swoosh at peace. If you do choose to stay, STOP being a complainer!

And we do love the brand and the products and the promise, so we do not give up bc we think it is going to change.

The issue is not the platform itself.

Issue is that Nike is a place that people cannot speak up and ask for help without being retaliated, and that bad leaders (hey RL, LJ, MD, DA) can go unchecked by HR for many years. And that same bad leaders get promoted and lead the reorgs to protect themselves!!!!

And that Nike is a place that just fired dozens of good colleagues and people leaders for the reason above. I ve seen many good people leaders being let go over the past 4 months.

So we come here to complain because there is not another place.

Platform is the symptom. Root cause is Nike s culture and lack of willingness to change it.
