Anybody else received a email about career development training session 1 for may 20? With he also attended? Are we about to be layoff?

I think it's more of a blanket CYA email for human resource in case there are more layoffs this year due to Medicare Advantage costs. I was laid off from UHC last year and got to Humana just in time for the Q3 layoffs. I will say though that Humana is better with their severance packages and support from the department you worked in than Optum/UHC.
Maybe it’s just HR fulfilling their role ….Ive been with Humana over a decade and they have offered many different things in regards to advanced, resume building, interview skills….not related to a RIF, but education

Yes this is the initial step to lay off. I was one that got cut back in January. The good news is I got hired by another healthcare company and my income almost doubled.
No, I don't think this is an RIF notice. Typically it's something titled more ominous like "Quick Connect" or "Brief Discussion". It's typically scheduled for 30 minutes, and you can't see who else will be attending, and sometimes you'll have an instruction of not forwarding it to anyone. The meeting will be a webinar, and not a regular Zoom link. The meeting will appear completely randomly, sometimes an hour before it's scheduled, and it will catch you completely off guard. They wouldn't send out an RIF meeting scheduled 10 days in advance.
I highly doubt this is leading to layoff. Companies do not typically invest more money into developing associates about to be released. Humana would not spend unnecessary money as they have a RIF severance package to pay out as well.
