Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Board member states layoffs in 2023, 2024 and 2025 are not annual

Layoffs happened or are to happen in 2023, 2024 and 2025 but we're told during local HR unplugged session it's not annual, and also that it may happen in the future.

The new culture in SAP also appears to be to block all questions during what are marketed as unplugged Q+A events, as you do! In this case with the new "People and Culture" board member. I guess everything is rosy when you limit questions as coming from the HR team only.

I think is not true, myself and another person who got laid off; both of us got a good amount of salary increment and RSUs. I see laid off in NA, ranging from T5 to T2, catalyst participant, SAP certified coach&trainer. I personally curious on what kind of justifications was used against these selected individual?

Was told that p24 will be more fair and personal. No it is not, the manager has not much to say aside just had to communicate the bad news to the affected person together with HR. Will I believe it will be based on performance, I personally just lost at this point.

IMO SAP has lost its own core value without being competitive with the market in terms of salary. Amazon is brutal, but at least you can protect yourself as long as you work like a slave. Google has also lost is own core value as well but at least in terms of compensation, they are far better.

It is performance based, We received 130% bonus based on last year bonus with no salary hike as my manager said I was at maximum in the team which may or may not true. I believe that either it was asked to give list of names to be selected by HR or HR selected based on what they want (Not sure). But we are scapegoat. When it comes to skill set, I am doing PaPM On premise PaPM Cloud, SAC Planning, BTP Administration, Dwc. What skill set SAP wants from me as these are the well known cloud based applications along with OP. SAP is doing something that they donot know what they are doing? They suppressed all T4 positions in NA and want to outsource all jobs from NA to other countries , but want to have revenue. Unless US government impose restrictions, these companies always outsource and ask NA employees to retrain things that they donot know. Last few years Management is coming with all Bad strategies and spend billions of dollars for useless acquisitions that increase overhead .

From a reliable source that Q1 will impact NA again, but will be performance based cuts....for what its worth.

Unfortunately they couldn't answer any questions about where the supposed "reskilling" and "redeployment" opportunities are supposedly existing because Bhrighu wanted to hijack the Q and A to talk about fu--ing ice-cream and then wrapped up early.

Absolute joke. It's insane that he has been given a role this high. His whole career is baffling given how uncharismatic and insincere he comes across literally every time he speaks.

Hate to break it to you, but don't look at corporations as any secure thing and take it personally. It's unfortunately just a business transaction.
