Man, fu-k you boomer. Some of us do more than jiggle the mouse for8 hours. Some of us have to make sure off shore has the proper info for their calls since they seem to not have consistent training. Maybe it’s a YOU problem honestly. Loser.
Engineering - they over hired during covid, too many slackers with no work for years 2019-2024 and paid 6 figure...imagine 500 of them remote ! all the good ones left.
When I worked remote for CVS I made $17.50 an hour and the forced everyone to work 12-8 and it was impossible to get a schedule change. You better believe 50% of my shift was a mouse jiggler. The only regret I have is that I didn’t use it 90% of the time. I wasn’t on the phones… but you get what you pay for. They were making so much money in that department that I’m sure me being a warm body clocked in and available if needed made them so so so much more than the sad hourly wage we were paid.
Network in particular is a unmitigated disaster.. leaderless and with no support or direction, some very dedicated people struggling to stem the tide of more and more work without help to add needed staff.. people with a lot of integrity ki-ling themselves 18 hours a day and weekends because they DO care about achieving meaningfull outcomes, but the company has no sense of self.. it's not about the people, just profits as usual, yet our stock continues to fall.. eventually even the toughest of employees get beat down to the point of giving up..
i was aetna engineer, cvs bought us, its remote and good pay, 3% raise per annum, 18 k bonus per annum, since its remote for ever , I feel its good.
And in the other end of the spectrum Aetna WAHs working 50 hour weeks with cr-p raises and bonuses
The dental department does nothing at home. Have movable mouses so looks active. Never talk to managers. Getting paid for literally nothing.
I'm FT remote (been remote for years) and I have to force myself to get up at least twice a day with the amount of work we're being given. Please don't assume all remote workers are the same.
Every accusation from the OP is a confession.
I worked my a-s off from home! Don’t stereotype everyone.
How do you know what your employees are doing on Teams? That seems a little intrusive.
Don’t hate the player
