She’s too nice and needs to bring the truth. CVS NEEDS layoffs, the company is too bloated and expenses are too high. Half the people here don’t do anything but want more money and bigger bonuses regardless of how the company is doing. Need to get back to looking at profits and margin not just getting bigger. CVS should be outsourcing more and leveraging cheaper labor to get stuff done. The company needs to modernize and step one is to ignore the cry baby employees and make the hard decisions.

Keep in mind Karen is from Aetna. Historically, the Aetna solution to financial news is first say 'we will get better' and then lay off some people to show they are serious.

And CVS seems to have little patience with leadership mistakes. People were missing Larry lately and he was way better than Karen. But Larry replaced Tom Ryan after he announced to Wall Street a big sale everyone knew wasn't happening and the stock tanked.

Don't be surprised if people get laid off and Karen decides to 'spend more time with her family'.

In regards to all the Q&A questions being screened and filtered.

They absolutely are.

They said yesterday about no comments but every single town hall, I have submitted questions about what things are the ELT implementing at their level to lead by example.

It’s been yet to be answered.

I refuse to stand up and ask in person because then I’d have to show up in person.

I think layoffs will be a surprise this time around. That last round where it was previously announced but everyone was left wondering was a productivity ki-ler and bad for our mental health.

When no one is talking about layoffs, that's when your job is most at risk under these circumstances.. be warned, layoffs ARE coming.. get out. Get out now.. !

how can they legally force you to produce pronouns on your employee record ? this is religious discrimination

The pronouns thing is likely because they want to be able to say “5.6% of the employees we laid off are they/them and 5.7% of all employees are they/them so you can’t sue us for discrimination”

They care about pronouns because it makes it easier to plan statistically fair layoffs (avoiding disparate impact).

CVS is in a dumpster fire and the CFO's only concern is getting your preferred pronouns in the employee database?

If those were “real” questions, every single one of them would have been about potential layoffs. Let’s just stop this charade that actual employees are submitting actual questions to management.

Not one question about layoffs or workforce reductions, how is that possible? If they were willing to do what they did last year, you just know they're going to do much more this year.

But this wasn't on anyone's mind huh?

That was more like a wake. Definitely didn’t inspire confidence.

Karen was very awkward today more than usual you can tell she's promising the board she'll deliver or I can see her being let go. Practically all the q & a questions were screened, I love that they had the communications SVP feeding the ELT most of those questions.
