Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

San Antonio

For the employees currently at the building off Saint Mary’s, I’m begging y’all to please be prepared next year when they surplus us again. I know we all need our jobs and are risking losing out on a bigger surplus on the new mobility purple contract. The most we can get is only 20k and I know for a fact that we will only get offered that or a follow the work option to a location far away next year. I spoke with a CWA leader who wishes to remain anonymous and he/she told me to be ready when the lease on the building comes to an end. Unfortunately I have to stay because I need my job, but if you’re in a position where you can leave or retire and are going to get over 20k on the current contract we have now then I urge you to take it so you won’t be disappointed next year with less money. As far as I’m concerned I’m going to start saving any money I can so when I only get the 20k surplus option I won’t feel so bad. Unfortunately next year I will not be able to follow the work and I need my job now due to a medical procedure I plan on having. Thanks a lot union, you really sc--wed all of us over smh

Ed moved HQ to San Antonio because the old St Lou $$ wouldn't let him join the country club.
Randy moved HQ to Dallas because he didn't want Ed to continue directing him what to do.
Stink keeps HQ in Dallas because they don't have the money to move.

Isn't debt great?

You all in San Antonio should have learned your lesson when Ed moved headquarters to Dallas. Nobody likes San Antonio, I mean nobody. GET OUT!
