Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Take it easy!!

For the recently ex-nike people going full steam ahead posting on LinkedIn: Chill out for a bit and let your new reality take shape. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up in another toxic professional relationship and continue to let a corporation define your worth. Reset and rebuild.

I too agree with OP. Take some time for yourself and don’t rush into it all. I was impacted this last round as well and I’m feeling anxious about what I’ll land next but you don’t want to come off too desperate. Try and strike a balance with navigating this situation. Definitely tap into your network but you don’t have to do it on speakerphone.

I have to agree with OP, I’m also impacted and need an equivalent job soon so I can keep my house and kids in their current school. But the last thing you need is to appear desperate to recruiters and future employers. We’re all freaking out inside, but need to keep your cool and confidence for new opportunities.

Yes yes yes. It is so triggering to hear the egos out there. Good lord. One person is trying to save the Administrative Assistants everywhere and others are here to write recommendations for anyone who needs it! Yikes.
