Hey man then those were that’s doing it gave up the commercial part of their company last year. There’s some more elaborate plan in place will probably find out soon. I know it won’t be our benefit. I’m just gonna continue to collect my paychecks and wait for severance to be offered and go on my way.
"Dang. I didn’t realize that such a large percentage of Humana’s revenue is reliant on Medicare Advantage. I know that health insurance industry is heavily regulated by the government, but that’s such a high percentage, which worries me. And you’re right, this isn’t good news at all."
People in general don't realize how much corporate welfare occurs and think the rugged individualism and merit of all these rich execs make the world go around. Basically the taxpayer has been paying for Broussard's nine figure wealth accumulation, and others, for years now. A non-profit, public trust, or public benefit company could employee more people with lower prices if the rich shareholders, C-suite execs, and AVPs extravagant compensation were cut out of the system - just like every other company dealing with healthcare or medicine.
Pretty clear that Humana’s plan all along was bilk as much money from taxpayers and Medicare recipients as it could to give back to its rich shareholders. Shameful.
“The company said more than 80 percent of its $106 billion revenue comes from the federal program.“
