We’ve already seen the decimation of Humana Care Support- the Medicare “case management” team. Close to 1/2 of HCs were laid off or moved to another team. Clinical risk management also had a small layoff. There are rumors that Medicare teams will most definitely see more layoffs. PCO is asking for 100 volunteers to leave. When will Medicare markets get hit again? With off shoring, AI and automation coming down the line and more services being automatically approved, there will be less of a need for administrative associates and UM nurses. Any leaders willing to share what they know?

not a good time to be a pharmacy tech here, that's for sure
PCO- Primary Care Organization- so all the Centerwell clinics , pharmacy and maybe Home Solutions which manages much of the home health requests?
What is PCO?
PCO is asking for 100 volunteers to leave, and Operations in CenterWell Pharmacy is asking for 100 volunteers to leave also. Operations are departs like Doctor Call Phones, Clinical Services, Item Entry, Order Entry, Dispensing, etc. So whether you’re on the insurance side or on the pharmacy side, there’s no place within Humana as an entire company, that is safe or stable. That alone, means 200 people need to voluntarily quit in order to avoid RIF’s. I highly doubt 200 individuals will leave, especially without an additional job lined up in this horrific economy and job market. I have no idea what’s going on with Humana behind the scenes, but it doesn’t look good at all. And then remember… they are scheduled to announce what specific benefits will be reduced for us in June.
