I talked to my coworker who was laid off yesterday and he told me he felt "a sense of relief" after it happened. He didn't want to be laid off, but he was relieved that he finally knew where he stood. He is now ready to start planning for the future. I admit, he sounds much better than I expected he would. I guess getting rid of the mental burden Nike has put on us lately helps a lot.

Nike claims they care about the employees mental health but that’s just corporate talk.
The stress of IF, WHEN, WHY, HOW on what feels like a weekly basis is super unhealthy for a persons mental health.
If not about your performance that decisions are made, it’s more about where you fit in, who you know and who you blow.
I was let go close to 3 years now and it was the best thing for my own health and growth.
It’s also dealing with the fact if you’re apart of the plan or not. Gotta realize we’ve known about this reorganization since December, saw some people already impacted in February… then knowing now your not having to “deal” with the stresses of being in and out.
You essentially have no control of your decision but now you know where you stand.
Sounds like he came to terms with it. I know some folks on here are still trying to figure out their why.
