Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Severance package info?

Anyone care to share the severance expected? We are out at Barnhart within the next few months. Would this be a lump sum check or monthly payments?

No one has answered the question:
60 days (typically non working) notice
2 weeks for every FULL year of Wells experience severance
Max severance is 52 weeks
Min severance is 8 weeks

Barnhart is mostly S1 & S2 roles who are too busy to browse the policy handbook because they are handling customer calls, back to back, all day. So before you want to be a jerk to the OP, just remember they probably work harder than you do 🤷‍♀️

It’s in the benefits book
It’s been there for years
I have it bookmarked
I want my max payout since I’m over 25 years

I’ll create a confluence page so people understand the process of how to look up severance details.

@soi+1sjHJIlE “ How is it possible that so many people are incapable of looking up information published in our handbook!!??”

The OP is a prime example of why Wells HAS TO trim the fat.

Folks commiserate and feel bad about employees being laid off and they are always “the hardest worker!” If we’re all as great as we think we are there wouldn’t be any layoffs.

You need to read the information in your specific severance packet! If you take a lump sum, think about the tax implications. Lump sum payout also cuts off your benefits (healthcare), if that's something to be concerned about.

It’s available on teamworks if you search. You get a choice of payments and keep insurance or lump sum and forfeit insurance/move onto Cobra.

Length of severance depends on number of years of service…check hr site for info. During severance you would continue to be paid every two weeks. There’s option to be paid lump sum but that would also officially end your employment and will end health benefits
