Signify and Oak Street will go down as some of the worst purchases. But she made sure their former CEOs have brand new EVP roles at CVS so they’re protected.
They are too large to innovate. Any type of change in, for example technology, results in a push to force legacy ideas and technology into the solution, thereby defeating the benefits of the new ideas. It's cheaper and better to invest in R&D not weighed down by all the baggage.
