The Future of Humana PCO at Risk: Toxic Management, Layoff Fears, and a Troubling New CEO

It is truly disheartening to see toxic management at Humana Primary Care Organization treating employees with such disrespect and disregard. The condescending manner in which they communicate, coupled with false narratives and claims of transparency when there is none, only serves to create a toxic work environment.

The lack of support from management is alarming, as they fail to respond to team messages and emails and do not make an effort to divide caseloads equitably. With rumors of another potential layoff looming, employees are understandably anxious about their future at the company, especially considering the recent massive layoff with Project Ram.

The departure of Bruce and the arrival of the new CEO, who has a troubling history with Envision Health care and a track record of driving a company into bankruptcy due to massive debt, raises serious concerns about the future of Humana. The company culture has clearly shifted, and employees are left wondering what lies ahead.

It is imperative that employees come together to demand transparency, fairness, and respect from management. The future of Humana hangs in the balance, and it is up to both employees and leadership to ensure that the company remains a positive and supportive place to work.

If you want to see a S--- Show look at Care Plus. That organization has been run as the personal fiefdom of the good Dr. Just look at the history. She ran off numerous Directors, ADs Managers. She oversaw a new information system costing millions, a system which couldn't complete even the basic functions of the existing systems. I would also suggest that the good Dr had a race bias. I recall conversations where I was challenged to employ Spanish speakers. When the cuts came, and they did.... The majority of those laid off were none Hispanic. The majority of the workforce were Hispanic. The good Dr is a talker for sure, not a listener though. It was probably a good this she moved away from direct patient care.

I know that HR were very interested in the goings on at CarePlus... Not for the benefit of the associates but because of the risk to Humana.

Just to be clear, new CEO did not bring Envision to bankruptcy, the organization was already heading there and he was brought in to turn around Envision (which he did). Bankruptcy is a tool to restructure debt payments to improve cashflow and provide an opportunity for the business to remain solvent. General Motors, American Airlines, Apple are all brands who have emerged from bankruptcy better because of it.

Ngl this sounds like a pretty challenging situation for PCO family. It's never easy dealing with toxic management and a lack of support, especially when there are rumors of layoffs and changes in leadership. The lack of transparency can make the work environment even more stressful.

I agree that it's important for employees to come together and advocate for better communication, fairness, and respect from management. This kind of collective effort might be necessary to bring about change and make the company a more positive place to work.

Hopefully, the new CEO will take the concerns of employees seriously and work towards creating a better work environment.

In the meantime, document, document, document every single record of any issues they face and, if possible, seek support from HR or legal advice to understand your rights.
