How does one file a hostile work environment against someone, or, is that just a pipe dream and will get rid of you for doing it and letting the hostility continue?
I am sure HR will look at the one filing it and say "talk to your manager". What if the manager is the problem???

You won't get far with Follett HR, but speak to someone at the EEOC. They might be VERY interested to hear about this sinking ship's shenanigans...
Isn't HR outsourced anyways. They don't care. Talk to a lawyer and get some money on the way out. Start emailing yourself any proof you may have. Maybe record the next conference call.
Follett has been toxic for many years. HR will say whatever was said or done you have ‘taken out of context,’ the. brand you ‘not a team player.’ I complained and was included in the next RIF. My advice is smile and go find a job in a healthy work environment.
When I worked there I knew someone that filed for that, and she covered her tracks by seeing a counselor that could attest to her stress level and she went out on mental health leave and found a new job while she was out. Another employee of mine filed hostile work environment and harassment by the Regional, HR flew out and did an investigation and that person she filed against is now a GVP lol. And she made my life miserable for YEARS for helping that employee report. So it's a good tool if you want to go out on leave and get out of there. It's a bad tool if you think HR will do anything to protect you. That GVP targeted me for years until I felt bullied enough to leave. Many, many years out I know at least 20 people at all levels that were victims of that person. Store Employees, Managers and Regionals alike. We're ALL happier and healthier now, but yeah my advice would be get out, sue later. Keep all proof of hostile work environment and take it with you.
HR is there to protect the company not the employees.
LH is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Report it to your state labor board or contact an attorney. HR at this place is effin' incompetent and lazy and does jack squat.
Great question, but there are probably so many such hostile work environments that the attention required by HR would take so long that even Trump could not save you. Best to take revenge?
