WEC lease ends in Sep 2025. Servers in WEC data center have to be out of WEC by June 2025.

“Mayor approved”?

Troll. The mayor of W-S has no say in approving the sale of a building in W-S.

Thanks for posting this, most of us don't know one building from another. I certainly didn't, never been to WEC.

The link is for the West End Center Annex, not the 4 story West End Center on 4 1/2 Street. The Annex has been empty for a while. Most people in WS were moved from the Linden Center and the tower to WEC in the past 6 months. WEC is expected to be vacated mid 2025.

I had a handful of people there and they are now gone (displaced). During my conversations around an exception for two of them, I was told that Winston is closing in 2025. That’s all I was told. I also had to displace a few in Raleigh and was told the same, although I have heard that tech may be the only area that stays in Raleigh. So not too sure about that one.

Looking at the listing, it appears it’s just the annex that is for lease (at least for now), guess the data center will be next after it is closed down and decommissioning.

When Management's only business option is layoffs, they have no skills. Wells Fargo should have been closed years ago. Any advisor who works for a firm that has done the damage to consumers that Wells Fargo has is incompetent and shows poor business judgment. I am ashamed of this firm.

I’ve about decided that no one knows except maybe on high and they aren’t saying.

From what I understand, Wells is negotiating to extend WEC lease to EOY or early next year. Tech folks have already been positioned there and since WS is not a primary tech loc, the writing is on the wall, but if they’re still basing on # of resources at loc, I wouldn’t expect major layoffs at WEC in May.

Are you saying that the poster is accurate with regard to May layoffs for location strategy at WEC? I thought all who were to be impacted had been notified and I don’t personally know anyone who has been notified. Thanks.

Guys,
I said last fall that Winston is closing in 2025. I had to displace people there in March and was not able to get exceptions for 2 people to drive to Charlotte (they wanted to).

Anything said about the Tower on N. Main St. In Winston?

Is May wave 1 location strategy? I don’t think WEC would be affected by location strategy in May as it’s a larger facility. Please give thought on this?
