Toxic boss. I feel targeted. I don’t want to have to find another role. Humana has changed. Not sure why they spend so much money on values, creating new values, rolling them out, meetings upon meetings to make us healthy team members if we are stressed at every turn and can’t make simple decisions without being told we are wrong and criticized. How do I make this work with my leader? Take classes and document my progress in workday? Has anyone else felt this way? What have you done? I feel like my boss is waiting for me to tell her I can’t do something so she can hold it against me. If I ask her for help she makes me feel stupid if I don't ask she questions why I didn’t come to her in the first place. Help. I want to stay a few more years at least.

Sadly, whatever toxicity they're dishing out is likely the same that they're getting from their leaders... shouldn't be that way but it often is.
Not sure what kind of guidance that they are getting for upper leadership but I am feeling like they want us to hate our jobs, quit or they will look for something to fire us over.
Wow, sounds like my leader. They’re so toxic that I’m not sure how or why they still have a job. And don’t tattle in a skip level or to HR, cause they will retaliate. Do document everything though.
Please DO NOT tell who your boss/leader is in this thread. You’ll just be putting a target on your back. Stay anonymous.
Who is your boss/manager. ?
I bet I can guess who this is.
Please consider requesting a skip level meeting with her boss. Write down all your concerns ready for the meeting and provide specific examples. Let them know this is causing you anxiety and making you want to move on. This is what skip level meetings are for. If any other team members have shared their similar experiences encourage them to do the same.
I suspect I know who your toxic boss is, because I also work closely with her, and she is SO patronizing and condescending. She’s a nightmare.
Document everything on your personal devices. Take screen shots of everything. Document every conversation. Keep a record of what you do each day. Be professional and keep doing good work. Do everything your boss asks—no matter what it is—and keep that in your personal log. Document your performance reviews.
And keep your resume up to date.
Someone shared with me last year.. if you are in a toxic environment “get out”. Best advice I have ever received. Don’t let your toxic boss get to your own self worth! Be the better person. Toxic work environments can drain a person. Stand up for yourself and believe in yourself!
Start looking for roles internally, they can not stop you from applying unless you have a correction action plan/performance plan. Get a mentor, update your resume, network with different departments and when you do apply for roles, reach out to the hiring manager to stand out! Good Luck!!
