Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

What happens if you are moved into a role you don’t want? Eligible for severance?

SD confirmed that I “still have a role, but it may look different”. No idea what this new role entails, but predicting it’s going to be taking on additional work with no change to comp. Only finding out next week.

Are we eligible for severance if we don’t accept the role?

If you don’t like the job the only option is to apply for another job internally in 12 months or quit.

No. Anyone with a choice was given a choice. If you were not, then you get a job, not severance.

Sadly, Nike is banking on organic attrition.

Same thing happened to me except they also brought in Principle roles from a merged org. I was told that when the dust settles, my role will remain a lead and I will likely not like the role compared to my work ethic or experience.

I’m grateful for the knowledge and a paycheck. I’m grateful there are others experiencing the same thing I am.

So the company will experience more quiet quitting - a hypothesis only.

Cheap way of saying goodbye and they won’t pay severance.

Rude response. We’re all here because we don’t have answers from the company. Those of us left employed in the aftermath have concerns. I assume we are stuck without leaving on our own/no severance.
