Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Attrition folks!!

If you were moved to another team or demoted JD wants you to leave, rent free.

This saves him $200k on average/employee on severance costs.

JD bets roughly 25% of you in this camp leave and Bain smiles to the bank. Reality.

Do you make him happy and leave? Or stay?
He must’ve been an accountant in a past life. Consultant he was but he’s not that strategic to keep that role, or any other really…

I saw some moves that make no sense. People being placed into jobs there is no way they could get in open competition if the job was posted. Certainly not who the hiring manager would choose. I feel bad for some of these managers as now they have to make it work.

This doesn't make any sense. They did enough layoffs another few hundred wouldn't have made any real difference in severance costs vs keeping them on payroll for possibly another 6 months. Moving teams to their domains just makes sense, which is what a lot of the shifts were. I know the rationale behind several of the moves, and was actually one of the ones suggesting them, and it has nothing to do with causing attrition.

Take your family more seriously than ever. That’s what really matters my friends! Enjoy your loved ones, don’t overinvest in a company that doesn’t care about u.

5 days in the office a coming, people will leave, JD smiles. All the hopscotch frustrates people, they leave, JD smiles.

5 day RTO in hopes people leave. JD already said remote work doesn't work. it's obvious what's next.

BS. My team has new people on it. They are valued and excited to contribute. Don’t put this in their heads.

Some sort of scheming is going on to drive attrition for sure and on a grand scale.

Yes they are cheap. That’s how they will get closer to the target. If people don’t leave then more rounds
