Does RIF = layoffs? If you are in the Bay Area, chances are you aren't remote worker. Difficult to make sense of the strategies for different departments, timelines and motivations seem unclear. What should make sense doesn't, what doesn't make sense doesn't make sense. Ha!
I'm in technology and only know of one Bay Area layoff in my department over the last 4 years.
