Does it reach the DEI metrics for women and minorities in leadership that JD proclaimed when he took the job?
How many layoffs needed?

They’ve put plenty of female employees in Nike ads last year that had nothing to do with the work that they said they were involved in. Filmed them walking and running around campus, drawing shoes and graphs annd data and sh-t. Job done company is diverse!
There is still a lot of Didn't Earn It to clean up from. Equality of opportunity and merit is the way it should be. We need to get of of the racist equity echo chamber.
You all understand that with still having a majority of white males in the company that that group will have more people to let go?
There is still no equity for minorities and y’all just complain because you aren’t as privileged anymore.
I do wonder if certain departments that are heavier in white dominated demographics have a tendency to lay off the POC’s on the team. When we first started we had 4 POC on the team of 12 now we have none and everyone is white on the team each round if layoffs it seems a POC is affected.
The 2025 numbers will be telling (maybe). We all know Nike gets crafty with their math and storytelling. I would be willing to bet that the commitments that were made in 2019/20 to increase representation (both BIPOC and women) will have likely failed. That said, anyone impacted in this round will still show up in a the FY24 data as they were still employed at the close of the fiscal year. Between now and when they need to report the FY25 data there will be a mad scramble amongst MM and her awful head DEI and the sociopath that heads up recruitment, so you will probably never know the real truth.
Indian males are a minority according to our DEI metrics. We don’t care about actual success, just the appearance of it.
If you think that’s crazy you should take a look at intel
Diversity in tech at Nike is a joke. Over half of the engineers are Indian males and more and more jobs are outsourced to India.
