Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

What’s the timeline for business group business management/coo centralization?

Now that the Operations move the lines centralization is done, what is the plan for further centralizing business management/coo functions into either central control or enterprise COO? It seems like a few smaller groups/functions have already started to be moved, but does anyone have insight into larger timing or approach?

It seems inevitable that they get centralized and then “find efficiencies”.

They already said all would be done by end of 2026 for comml and 2027 for consumer.

The WF definition of "efficiency" is all about financial benefits and political control. This ignores quality control and information security.

The way they are organizing / re-organizing COO will create a more toxic environment. Perhaps the corrupt leadership is doing it intentionally so that they can get more political power. I don't see that any good will come out of this.

It’s a real question though. The Operations MTL impacted tens of thousands, the potential MTL OP is referencing would be smaller, but still potentially 5-10% of the company in roles that have historically been embedded in the businesses.

It’s been rumored for over a year, and I heard Finance moved some of their teams.

Dude there are no DE&I hires - WF DE&I is just a big expensive joke. Stop pointing fingers at a vapor program. Having 100 people shuffling the chairs on the Titanic is as close to DE&I at WF.

I don't know what it is, but these COO executives and managers seem to be all corrupt and toxic. I hate working with these people.

Do you really believe they recognize the need for people? I put them squarely in the “people don’t matter, processes matter” camp. They are in for a very rude awakening.

Won't ever happen. Malibu barbie already has everything falling apart because she is a DEI hire. They can't afford to lose more people

when they move 2/3s of ops roles to I&P. thats when it will become "efficient"
