I’m an ETW and have received no guidance or communication about this week or moving forward. My team was annihilated in round 1 and I’m still waiting on guidance regarding that.
Do I show up Monday and just pretend to work like nothing ever happened? Should I try and connect with Dirs/SDs in other teams I’ve worked with? Anyone have any guidance?
I'll be doing my best next week to ensure all the managers clean up reporting structures for their orphaned ETWs.
Understanding the landing org was a bit of a moving target, it's nuts that they haven't at least provided any general guidance to the contractor agencies.
My team did an incredible job of making me feel like a part of it, and of Nike. This week, some nasty trolls on here, and the lack of comms from senior leadership has been the complete opposite.
So after being a ETW through a couple of these situations. One of two scenarios will happen, and what you should do:
If you haven’t been reached out to, still show up to work and “pretend” nothing has happened. Reality is your contract is tied to Nike and not the organization in general. If your team got wiped out… I’d probably say #2 is likely unless that team had a lot of work remaining and they may keep you on to “sort it out”.
This happens all the time but reality Nike is focusing on FTEs this week, next week they deal with the aftermath (work and contractors)
