Does severance get paid in multiple chunks? I’m missing a significant amount of my notice pay portion and wondering if it’s a mistake or I need to call People Solutions.

Got an explanation for h1b notice gets paid today and severance afterwards. We have 60days to leave the country so they pay it out immediately.
I’m missing 20% before they even take the taxes out.
Did it go to taxes? Or are you saying you are missing 20% on top of taxes?
Okay I’m just confused because my payout today was:
Normal Pay
PTO payout
80% of severance
I’m wondering what happened to the other 20%, I already signed the severance doc.
Last paycheck in your 60 days will be:
- Normal Pay
- PTO payout
Then a week later the severance.
Severance is dependent on when you sign your docs.

You should get at the same time as your final paycheck (plus PTO payout). It will be taxed so it won’t be the gross amount they quoted you.
If you were part of the February layoff, we should get it next week.
My understanding is your pay is on the normal pay cycle during the 60 day notification. Your final paycheck will include severance pay, but you have to sign the severance agreement.
