My manager has been around 10+ years and seems a lot of his coworkers or peers were let go but he survived. Anyway, his behavior has changed a lot! Like he is on something! He has suddenly started being super active, initiating lots of new projects that no one has asked for and even stepping into other people's projects! He has turned into a micromanager putting his head into every email and every project I work. He was not like this! I don't know if he is acting out of fear or what is the deal here! Anyone else experience change in their manager's attitude and behavior?

Getting off benzos can be rough
My manager exactly same as you described in RES. Now they are more confident that no one can do nothing to them and continue the torture to team and others.
Fear & paranoia will do that to a lot of people & yes a lot of that has happened since JD’s holiday gift. The survival instinct kicks in and the micro-management & back stabbing begins. Nike’s leadership is beyond putrid that they have created this environment.
If you have any PTO take it.
He is probably overwhelmed, worry and paranoid about all of this. Give him so grace and ask him what his thought are and how can you help him to feel more settle with the work.
Then, take PTO and consider your options if you don’t see his behavior changing.
