Would love to hear if anyone has actually been able to get an outside business activity pre-approved with Wells compliance. If yes, what is your business? Looking to start a side business myself but want to try to figure out what will actually get approved.

I buy and sell just about anything retail or wholesale. I got preapproval but with conditions. I cant use WF to finance purchases and I can not sell to WF staff members using WF tools like email. Other than that it was fine.

Vacation property rental
I decided to get a CYA and formally submitted a pre-clearance to do something that didn’t conflict with WF. They denied it and refused to specify what it violated in the policy. Thus, they now have the CYA.
Just do it and to he-l with WF.
