Now they realized the importance of testing and QA roles. Chain Shaw's decision is overruled....QA is Coming Back :)

I lost all my QA. I lost 2 of my product designers. There is no time in any given sprint to do the testing our QA team members provided. It’s very stressful
So aren't all the tasks that are marked "done" in Jira? So it should be relatively simple to pull a list of all the tasks that are marked "done" but not tested. And then have the new QA team test the step.
Simple as Simon says. After this is over you will be glad WF adopted agile!
@qsn QA numbers stateside in CS/Tech have been declining for years. Many were let go or saw the writing on the wall and left. If what you say is true about dev, then it does not bode well for those QA folks that remain.
Hold your your horses peeps! I'm excited as the next Tech person to learn that the real defense team is returning (wave of 1). But the real question is where is this testing happening? Bc if it's not a shared responsibility between an IP/US team it'll be another horse p-o chapter in the WFC saga. No one group, can catch up on all that needs to be validated via manual + automated without a joined strategy.
having a dev qa their own work is like letting Boeing do their own qa.
There are QA roles in many areas of the bank, but I think OP is referring to technology.
I hope this is true. We have inexperienced UAT teams testing before release and we have so many issues.
You’d think with all the problems they have had over the last few weeks with bad installs they’d want more testing — but you gotta fit it all in a 2 week sprint no matter what.
I’ve reviewed the new testing decision framework. Nothing in it implies they are rehiring the role. They are still asking dev to QA their own work, but now they have to submit a test plan and evidence of testing before shipping. It’s so foolish that they would use this vital role as a cost cutting measure
Our CEO cut QA, my God! Is the board looking at this?
Huh, who the he-l would cut this role, no one said ever cut QA in a banking world!
I love this role I’ve had and many roles in banking here!
Lotts of interaction with engineers and everybody. It was a really good job, but I’ve had like seven jobs here, but I think that was my favorite job!
Where?
