Favoritism, Bullying and Promotions

Last few years at Nike have seen extreme behaviors like bullying (folks colluding to defame teammates that are not like themselves, spreading gossip to push them out, using abusive language). Despite exhibiting these behaviors, some folks got into Director /Sr Director/Distinguished roles and now deciding the fate of others! Under past GT leadership friends promoted each other into Sr roles so they keep quiet on sloppy contracts. HR seems to be supporting these behaviors by ignoring complaints and not following competitive hiring/promotion practices! They should really look at all those promotions and evaluate if there were genuine contributions that led to the promotion. There was more respect to Sr director role in the past - most of them managed multiple teams of 100s of people, now everyone with a half dozen reports is a sr director despite lack of experience & effort.
