Were you notified at the end of May and off payroll by July 1?
What groups were impacted?
Everything seems quiet right now, but wondering if there will be a significant layoff in the next month or two.

Brockway, Ogdenville and North Haverbrook are thriving and, by gum, it put them on the map!
Well, sir, there's nothin' on earth like a genuine, bona fide, electrified smooth operation!
Something is going on, rumors of a major reorganization are being chatted about.
Notified end of May. May 25 sounds about right. Last day 6/30.
In most states it’s 30 days notice. NJ requires 90 days notice.
To the guy who said "If that scares you, leave"
You... Uh realize the whole point is that he's scared of being made to leave, right? Which makes your post nonsense.
Also, this is supposed to reassure him how?
Big layoff once or twice a year and little ones all the time. My department has had multiple on person at a time layoffs in the last year.
Doesn’t matter how big or small it is if you are targeted it is still 100% of the only one that matters. Always be ready to go.
Newsflash.. VZ has lay-offs every year. It’s an annual occurrence as in many large companies. If that scares you, leave.
I still work here but our entire workgroup was informed late may early June in an announcement. There was the usual pep rally stuff and that at the very end they just tossed the announcement out there and ended the meeting much like one closes a door after throwing a grenade.
To think people aren't afraid is ... Laughably naive. I've been worrying about it ever since.
And if you do get laid off I can very much assure you your job performance will only have so much baring on it.
April 30
I don't think that anyone that has posted here so far is afraid at all. People are doing their jobs. Possibly just trying to understand the timing and process.
Stop being so afraid, because you cannot change the outcome. Your primary concern should be performing your job duties and building/maintaining needed relationships. You get a significant amount of time to apply outside your role, and you get a significant amount of time to apply OUTSIDE the company while being paid.
Maintain your resume, build your network, and stop fearing this eventuality.
Good question: How do you get on the list. Are stack rankings used from the performance review for 2023? Managers have to justify their choices.
How do you get on the layoff list if your Manager doesn’t want you to go?
if you go back on this board, there were a lot of posts on May 25th.
