Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

is any more RTO news being put in layoff?

would be a "good" time to force pilot people back to office. scare with layoff, then say "oh ur not but RTO". anyone have this happen?

Can’t force more RTO when new positions are still being hired for remote work roles.

Why force them back? They were chosen, though I'm still confused why some of the roles they chose are WFH. It's odd to many as many roles that WFH work with the business and many tech roles only work with remote. I'm one of them. It really should have been by singular role and not by Department. My boss tried to submit my role to be remote but couldn't as I have an odd role. Three of the remote people I work with often are moving to another state and I'm so jealous as I have to report to a home base and I'm stuck. I don't know anyone at my office as I don't work with them so I'd rather move closer to family.

Can confirm, anyone officially on remote work program (Field office in HR System), and what used to be called the remote pilot and those hired directly as remote are not going to be changing unless/until they change jobs. This doesn't apply to VP and possibly SD levels, but everyone below is remaining so.

HR here, morale is too low to enforce a full RTO, plus all talent and roles that are remote will stay like that for the time being. (Indefinitely)

Take my word for what it’s worth, or keep spreading the fear.

As the spouse of an engineer on the pilot, they're encouraged to try and see just how quickly they can get the most experienced tech workers to make a run for the exit, which seems a guarantee on his team.

He already treats collecting fortune 500 companies on his resume like building a Pokedeck so it's entirely on them.
