Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Is today the last layoff day?

Rest of week just re-org conversations?

I would consider M to IC a demotion even if grade didn't change, though to maintain grade naturally, you would need to be raised up at least 5 grade points to compensate, otherwise you are going to be sticking out like a bent nail in HR's reporting

Is moving to an IC equivalent title considered a demotion? same grade & comps. no more people management responsibility + reporting into someone at same grade but a management title (used to report to higher grade).

One of my teammates was let go this morning, so it probably depends on your area.

Would be surprised if there are any layoffs today but who knows

I think it depends on the function. I heard most demotions/exits were Friday/Monday and the remainder of the week is laterals and shifts/no moves
