Has anyone received their severance package email yet? Was told by the end of the business day but haven’t received anything yet. Any idea on if PTO would be paid out a fellow colleague was paid out their annual bonus as part of their severance during last year’s layoff. Any idea if it’s the same this year? Thanks for any info.

Got mine today, was axed yesterday
Severance tax withhold is 22% (unless you make more than 1 million)
I emailed the VP I had a meeting with and asked her for the name of the HR person from my meeting because I just couldn’t ask questions or think much during.
She sent me the name and I got resources pretty immediately. So put a little pressure, they wanna avoid deep waters where they can I imagine.
Took me a full three weeks to get the severance agreement. They send other resources a few days later.
Pto gets paid out by law but not sabbatical
Can anyone confirm if severance is taxed like a bonus, or regular paycheck?
@owp+1sb3zHCW It’s not a d-mb question. Most ppl in our situation have been employed for many years so don’t know the latest about unemployment.
Yes, you need to wait until your final term date to file. There will be a 1 week waiting period (unpaid) before they start paying you weekly.
Sorry that you are impacted. The PTO will accrue till the termination date. The unused PTO Balance will be paid along with the severance package. If company announces bonus the % of a successful candidate gets the outgoing employee will receive the same amount for the entire FY24.
If I was let go but on payroll until EO June, do I need to wait until then to file UI? Sorry for d-mb/duplicate
I was laid off Phase 1.
It can take days to get the severance email, sometimes longer
PTO will be paid out on the same check as your severance. Assuming you’re still on payroll until late June you continue to accrue PTO until your final day.
PSP Bonus pays out at normal time in August.
I asked and was told bonus would come in August IF we all get one. My guess is no one will. Not sure about PTO but I believe that would be incorporated into your final paycheck.
