Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Juniper acquisition

Number of employees
HPE - 62,000
Juniper - 11,144

With the aquisition of Juniper, there will be layoffs. Surprise! (OK, not a surprise).
But here's the question, which bucket of employess (HPE or Juniper) will suffer more in the inevitable, coming, horrible, gut-wrenching, de-moralizing layoffs. If history is any guide, most of the suffering will be on the HPE side. But hey, good luck.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is not even HP anymore. 75% to 78% of employees are actually Indian vendors living in India. Any Indian vendor that was foolish enough to accept a Full-Time position at HPE regretted it just a few weeks after being hired. These Vendors practice a kind of Information Protectionism. I suppose an attempt to protect their jobs/positions. Regardless, Hewlett Packard Enterprise will not exist much longer. An old-tech dinosaur who cares nothing about their Full-Time Employees and care more about not "upsetting" their Vendors (because the are deeply intrenched and will simply not renew their contracts, HPE will probably be split up and absorbed by the likes of Infosys and then become 100% Indian. At least that what I have seen over the past three years.

Does it make sense to acquire Juniper if they report another worse quarter? Hearing 30% decline in revenue again!

First rule of mergers, whoever is in charge on day 1 wins. It's already been announced that the Juniper CEO will be in charge of the combined Aruba/Juniper org. So it will be Juniper leaders, juniper processes and ultimately juniper people when the dust settles. If you're Aruba, start job hunting now.

I’m so happy that I no longer work for a company that ships low margin commodity computers.
