lets go VTP Friday June 14th!
Hoping for the VTP Friday June 14th. Two years pay will be awesome!
These union goofs love the word sycophant….
For those in the know, bargained ranks have been thinned for years with actual layoffs, attrition and very few replacements with the exception of wire techs and sales, due to the high turnover rate. Non bargained support and staff ranks have been targeted over the last few years. Most act like they are the only ones to have ever been targeted, where was the outrage when bargained was let go? Now the shoe is on the other foot because at the end of the day, we all are just human capital due to failed leadership decisions. I see fewer sycophants every day, even the most ardent company kool-aid drinkers are starting to turn and get their eyes opened. They are starting to be put in the unemployment line like everyone else because, no one is safe.
The company is too broke to offer ESB to anyone. Enjoy your job security unlike the RTO fiasco management is facing.
As soon as district 9 ratify’s their contract.
Nice. The back pay for the wage increase + ESB = $$$
Show me the money so I can take my pension lump sum before rates go up again.
“ Can’t start projects or forecast work with the possibility of walking or striking…last year we were on mandatory 6 days for over half the year”.
Hard to tell how the budget is/has been manipulated and not going to look it up but seems that they have been doing a decent job of spending their capital budget the last 12 months. Not going to disagree with this line of thinking. Perhaps the last 6 months of last year they stopped issuing projects to prepare for a possible strike this year.
Gold standard contractual job security language. We have some that will leave with $200k buyouts if they get surplussed. From all the crying I see from losers in management I'm guessing they don't have that protection?
“ Aww a super sycophant, bet he/she can replace thousands of employees because they are so slow, d-mb and inexperienced, they are just paid charity cases.”
Back to the switchboard union goof..
Aww a super sycophant, bet he/she can replace thousands of employees because they are so slow, d-mb and inexperienced, they are just paid charity cases. Nice one, now get back into the townhall, you are about to be picked to read your Stanky team prepared question.
“ They know there aren’t enough resources to replace the large experienced workforce if they strike.”
Dummmmmmest union slug quote of the year winner !
Agreed always a slowdown before and during contract negotiations, not hard to predict. Work will pick up after the contract is ratified. The company doesn’t want to start any large projects until it’s over. They know there aren’t enough resources to replace the large experienced workforce if they strike.
Work is slowed down during contract time how long have any of you been here? Can’t start projects or forecast work with the possibility of walking or striking…last year we were on mandatory 6 days for over half the year. I wouldn’t worry too much about the work right now and focus on the contract and keeping the “union” honest…if anything is going to sc--w the workers it will be CWA
Was in meeting with 1st and 2nd as well as Local Union.
The answer was not at this time.
At the average age out here, probably just waiting for us to retire or die off.
Get real, nothings changed. There hasn't been any work for this group in 10 years, why initiate layoffs now? This is the new normal for T, keep plenty of techs around just for kicks. It's either keep them employed or pay a bunch of severance. Go cut the workforce elsewhere please!
If they (Att) want to give you everything you ask for except job security items such as changes to the severance table then you’ll know that’s the priority which I believe it is the #1 priority. These. Negotiations are psychological warfare waiting for someone to blink wrong. That wrong blink if it happens will be a drastic reduction in severance payments.
"As soon as District 9 ratifies its contract".
You are right on the money my friend.
As soon as district 9 ratify’s their contract.
