Having a part time job does it affect your severance package?

It is unreal the bank can control how a laid off employee spends their time in that 60 day notice period. There's a ridiculous variety of jobs available that have no conflict of interest.
Regardless of how we came to this point, employees are not possessions. Add the fact that getting hired back in that 60-day notice window is rare.
A small step forward would allow HR to provide a list of acceptable sources of income.
This should be an obvious, easy, non-issue solution to assist employees during a difficult time. (*also some of us will lose out on OT income, needed to compensate for meager pay raises that have not kept up with increased costs of living).
How exactly does the new employment during Notice even get discovered? Let’s assume you bank not @ WF. Is there a lookup service from SSA to ensure both employers don’t over-deduct and do it’s being used for another purpose? Or… ?
Yes you certainly can. Once WF sees your new SSA deduction going in they will send you a letter to see if you have insurance coverage with your new employer. If you do they will lump sum the rest of your severance to save on the benefits costs and expect you to get insurance through your new employer. Part time not likely for benefits so no harm go for it.
Not the OP, but I am wondering about the actual severance period, not the 60 days. I know you are still a WF employee during the 60 days. But can one find a job and double dip during severance? I would think so.
@uxn+1sW8VtNa The handbook has nothing to do with it. All of this is spelled out in the actual severance agreement provided when you are given 60-day notice.
This has been answered on here numerous times. Starting ANY new employment during the 60-day notice period voids your severance package. If you start the part time job before being given notice you can continue it with no impact.
Does your metrics affect your package for example being on a informal or formal? Do metrics affect? Handbook isn’t specific to what disqualifies you from receiving your package other than termination voluntarily/non voluntarily
