Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

After you eat your free cookie next week

Meditate on the fact that your c-suite of sociopaths gave themselves a boatload of stock last year, then announced a stock buyback and massive layoffs to pump said stock.

They made tens of millions and will continue to make tens of millions. You got a free cookie.

Great post.

Yes, the offshore folks are treated like cr-p. I know. O work directly with offshore teams and they are on until after midnight after being in the office all day. They are courteous and kind to me. I really enjoy working with that team.

I don't hate the Indians. The problem is self serving NYC executives, who will get rid of the employees in India as soon as they are able to find someone cheaper or automate their roles away. Contractors and I&P do not care about the future of this company, and this kind of company can't possibly success when people don't give an S. That's the issue.

Hudson Yards is a palace for the few who show up three days a week, if at all.

In contrast the masses of Indians working at WF are herded on a daily basis like cattle into facilities that are little more than glorified trailer offices. Confined to cubicle cages, they log into vdis that are completely monitored and surveilled. They are paid wages that would make an american teenager blush. Their american counterparts hate and despise them. What is their sin? Poverty.

I actually don't care if execs are highly compensated, what is offensive is that these clowns are sacrificing the company's future to pump up their personal stocks. Instead of investing our profits to build a company, they blow every last penny on stock buy backs. $5B last Q alone. The "expense" that this company can't afford is Hudson Yards.

Love it! These names sound like the old Wacky Pack stickers. Or characters from Danger Mouse. The remainder is cringe worthy.

Well, nothing new here. Big guy gets bigger, little guy gets squeezed even more. Layoffs, attrition, not to mention toxic work environment in some LOBs, make work harder for those who stay, but execs get rewarded. Let's see what kind of cookies we get next week--not "fortune" cookies for sure.

By the way, "Pretty Boy" Sommers is actually pretty, but I know somebody in my department who is way prettier and hardworking yet underpaid.
