been hearing rumors about reorg for UOP TSE organization b/f move closer to O hare airport--anyone hear anything about this? wouldnt be surprised if ppl get cut during this process.

@6joi+1sSRYxBR Very wishful thinking buddy. We are still witnessing aggressive cuts, awful decision making and generally a continuation of the same. The furloughs and RIFs will come towards the end of the year. The value of the executive bonus is too high not too.

Ive heard nothing. My guess is Vimal is doing everything in his power to avoid this. He is trying to rebuild from the mess that was left at his feet. If there are furloughs, they may be limited to underperforming businesses vs globally. He knows it’s bad to punish everyone for the sins of the few. That’s how you cause turnover of the only players in the game who can help you.

Here's my prediction. They will build parts up. They always do this before our presidential election.

Then after the presidential election. They'll probably have some furloughs and even RIFs. Heck! I bet they'll even lay off some production workers.

Remember this site is not as reliable as it used to be. Last time we said there was going to be some furloughs or RIFs they never happen.

What I'm dreaming of is a seventh package. If corporate is reading this, please offer some severance packages for aerospace Minneapolis. You'll get rid of the sick people and the older people. You'll probably even get rid of the people that don't want to be there. Then you can hire 18 to 26 year-old. Who will stay on parents insurance.

Offer severance packages. Look at all the money you will be saving.

Yes, it is the same routine every year. The fact that management chooses to run the company this way speaks volumes. Fear and intimidation are not the great motivators they think they are. One supervisor told us, "You should be thankful we let you work here!" No, YOU should be thankful I come in every day and do the work. So glad to be out of that place!
