Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

ATL Town Hall aka all about FB

Listening to FB go on about himself for the last 30 minutes makes him come off as extremely tone deaf. He talks about productivity, yet I fail to see how this meeting increased any productivity. I have not heard any business lessons outside of work hard. It has been listen to me and my life story.

@1oht+1sSL4urC has an excellent point and has been unfairly treated.

There is no doubt that this is a great company: FOR FRANK.

For most of us, however, it su-ks - for all the many legit reasons posted on this site.

Can someone please update his Wikipedia page noting his achievements and athletic prowess. All American bowler, Baseball star and valedictorian of his Grammer school were 3 that I heard. What else did I miss?

Wasn't there but did you hear that he was a son of an orphan and that his mother used the envelope system to budget? As in he started life below us and look where he ended up?

I wonder how much he gets bothered whenever his old boss JD shows up in real news feeds as being a finance expert. FB presents poorly on the second rate forums.

The town hall was great. I was energized by it and appreciated hearing Frank’s candid thoughts and experiences. We’re lucky to have a world-class CEO. I’m so tired of the complaining. We work for a great company - let’s start acting like it

Every time Frank speaks he confirms he’s a Dinosaur from a long gone period in corporate America. What keeps him relevant is the good ol boys network in NY. He doesn’t care about anyone who tunes in to listen to him, it’s just a chance to serve his ego.

When FB visited the TeleCheck office in Houston around 2013 for its opening there was a big push to ensure all employees had badges on that were visible. FB and his azzhat minions show up not one of them has a badge showing. He also showed up 30 mins late while is expendables sat out in the heat outside.

As long as these layoffs continue, Fiserv will be down to one last employee. Since all employees will all be in the same location, that employee will have infinite productivity! Somehow that is how this work. Now I will pat my self on the back for doing good job saying words right.

It's interesting that the person continues to use titles to ascribe importance to self, with continued use of Chairman and CEO while being asked questions about himself and his picture. It was all just a huge exercise in self-aggrandizement.

Is this supposed to motivate and inspire the workforce? One could simply order a book off of amazon and do a better job at motivating and inspiring than this poor leader.

Is he being satirical when he mentions a meritocracy? Fiserv is the inverse of such a concept and is instead filled with nepotism and echo-chamber yes executives. It's really sad that we have to listen to the embodiment of inferiority. We have a year of inferiority with a label of excellence.

Some how every SVP and above think they can force us all to out work the problem, yet they continue to tell the same stories every meeting. News flash you can just say work harder for 5 straight years, while also cutting resources exponentially.
