Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Project Willow, Part 2

I’ve heard from a few sources now, enough to think that there’s something there.
Word on the street is another round of layoffs in the fall.
Expected that GDS will take a big hit again due to overlaps from the dominion integration. Whether other areas are affected is less clear.

agreed, the TIS Imitation Lab should be the first target for layoffs in the Calturd office.

TIS is the crosshairs as well. They were largely unaffected in the 650 earlier this year, but now they’re under the microscope. RIP T&I Lab.

Maybe this time they will ask for volunteers!

Gas Distribution layoffs round 2 will be about 10% reductions, Ontario (west) will get hit hardest. Too many people in overlapping roles.
The people from Calgary now have the key roles in Gas Distribution, and will be making the organizational decisions on this layoff.

Why? OEB and Ohio/Utah, etc... are totally seperate jurisdictions and you cannot cross subsidize with out running afoul of regulatory bodies (even if we just unethically via our leaders used our power to topple the ontario government).

Don't believe this .... GDS will not be affected because of "synergies". They are standing these up as seperate legal entities because they have to ....

maybe GDS Ohio will have some redundancies, but our shared services in Ontario can't participate due to ARC rules. At the most some Calgary Shared service may be affected.

What do the id--ts in calgary know about running utilities? Nothing. They are just oil and gas pipelines. Literally zero knowledge of the utility business out there.

But in this case ENB agreed NOT to layoff any of the new victims, I mean employees, for a two year period. This means any and all redundancies will come from legacy ENB. Oh Joy!
Looks like Dominion cared more their employees than ENB does. But two years goes by fast, so if you're legacy Dominion, start working on your resume! You have been warned.

De-duplication is a normal thing that happens with all mergers or takeovers. What is so hard to understand about this?
