Elites will never let it happen. They will let AI replace pretty much everyone else though.

AI could absolutely replace our do nothing (good) executives. They won't be replaced by it for some time though, they have power and the people running these big banks are mutually supporting. They won't be shoved out the door by AI unless they are absolutely forced to do so.
Why do you think the CEOs of Vanguard, JPMC (Jamie Dimon), Schwab, etc. are all retiring around the same time in 2024-2025?
It's no coincidence that banking and its CEOs are largely defunct.
