I used to be an EA for multiple executives. The amount of money spent weekly and monthly for them to travel to different Verizon locations is absurd. Thousands of dollars just for a 3 day trip to Texas or California. For one person. And this is happening with director and above throughout the entire enterprise. I do find value in face to face appearances but 100% should be managers and directors traveling to see people. Not VP and above. The managers and directors are the ones making the business decisions and are actually knowledgeable with the front line folks.

They have to have more jets to fly overseas to visit the new employees.
