Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Prepare for more layoffs 2024

Heard some senior exec saying they will increase headcount by 5 to 7% in India.
We know what this means - more cuts in the US.
Some of our teams work are being offshored to the India team.

Just want to say 'Fck you' to leaders!

Don't understand the racist comments towards India, when its 50-50 being sent to India and Argentina. Just look at the JPMC job portal.

Was laid off recently and the justification given was that they are moving more operational work to India. It's true, if you visit an hub like Jersey City and you'll see a sea of Indians. Sometimes the offshore team is asked to come to the US either temporarily to learn from or work closely with the US team before they go back again. Other times, the stay permanently because the US team needs permanent support onshore.

No....that is a very ignorant and also racist statement. As the US shifts to globalism, outsourcing will be the norm, not because the CEO favors Indians in anyway, but it is purely because of cost. Salary for your average American + benefits + all the taxes that comes with it equates to 3-4 hires in India. Not only that they are willing to work longer hours, and for MUCH less pay, from a numbers perspective it makes sense to outsource. That's it, so enough blaming this on any level of favoritism.

Hiring more people in India is a strategy to save cost which has been going on for some time. The head counts in India have increase as some have observed.

With AI taking over jobs, this is the last time in the history of USA, you will see unemployment rates at 3.9% . As more jobs are taken over by AI, unemployment will rise. And if the number remains at 3.x% then you know the gov't is feeding the public the wrong data. FYI: The REAL unemployment rate for April 2024 was 24.2%. Look it up yourself.

Moving jobs to India or giving jobs to Indians is going to be the future of all jobs until AI takes over. Get used to it. Once AI takes over, there won't be even jobs in India either. It's only a matter of few years from now. You can thank humans for destroying the human race. As smart as they may be, they sure seem really d-mb. Just ask any AI robot.
