Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Analyst Program

Program analysts,

How has your experience been with Fiserv so far? Do you feel that the work you are doing is valuable and significant? Genuinely asking for your thoughts as I have heard mixed reviews of the program. I know the compensation isn’t as good as other corporate rotation programs such as Citi, JP Morgan, BOA ect…but how are the other aspects?

Soeaking of which, how about “We put the pedal to the mettle” as a new orange slogan?

And it's mettle, not metal, Einstein.

This is a layoff board - how do I know? Well the website is " www.thelayoff.com " which should be enough said. I am retired and no benefits from Frankserv as I was a contractor and they are treated like dirt.

Actually I think Fiserv's Intern and Analyst Programs are top notch. Nothing compares to the comp at Investment Banks but Fiserv pays excellent for the tier below JPM, Goldman and Morgan Stanley.

Nothing to do complain about - a two year, two assignment rotation in your chosen field. Then it is up to the individual to show their metal by performing and being a good teammate.
That is all anyone starting out could ask for.

"Fiserv has a new recognition programs to recognize employees who are typically passed over with the typical recognition programs. ALL of the awards go to SVPs."

I saw this 3 years ago when they rolled out the Distinguished Engineer title, gift, whatever and it went to a SVP. By the way that SVP should be a Distinguished Engineer but NOT an SVP. Just because you are a brilliant Engineer/Architect doesn't make you a great people leader. Sad it is still this way 3 years later.

This is a layoff board ! These posts show up every so often and are worthless. " Hi, I am thinking of joining Fiserv and want to know the working environment. Do they have self-serve coffee? Do they pay well ? " Sheesh - read the reviews and the board for those answers. I am retired and damn glad, and no EVER thinking of going back.

From my understanding, you will be extremely underpaid, have to come in to the office five days a week, and still have to deal with all the other bs the rest of us have to put up with. It could be ok if you had a great team around you, but that's highly unlikely imo.

I would not take it unless you have no other options.

From Fiserv's perspective, the only people who add any value to this organization are SVPs and above. Everyone else is disposable and replaceable. If you are not an SVP then you will not feel valuable, nor significant.

Fiserv has a new recognition programs to recognize employees who are typically passed over with the typical recognition programs. ALL of the awards go to SVPs.

Fiserv has a "change makers" townhall where they introduce the important employees at Fiserv who make a difference. ALL of the 'change makers' are SVP and above.

If you want to feel valued by your employer and you are a VP or below, then you will need to choose a company other than Fiserv.

If you think I am exaggerating you can come and see for yourself.
