I am a remote employee. My end date is soon. Fiserv HR told me in writing that I would get severance. I'm wondering if that will really happen, or will Fiserv find some way to cheat me out of it. What do you think?

Watch your last severance check. They closed mine wrong and ended up paying me 4k more. The business just hires new hires with no experience while pushing out the talent that built that company.
You will get it and they will hold out a lot
Of taxes but you will get a nice tax return. In my case i left 12/15 and got my severance at the beginning of January so I think it was helpful not to have all that income in one year.
I got mine but they won't put any in your 401k or 401k matched. So you will be taxed more
The OFD f me out my severance. 21 years and they converted me to a contractor. No severance. Stayed 1 month and found a way better job.
I received my 6 month lump sum severance 13 days after my last day.
If you read the severance documents, they can change the rules at any time. So your severance is not safe.
However, so far everyone I know has gotten their severance.
It is unlikely that you will encounter an issue.
I think therefore I am.
You will get it unless you don't complete all the requirements such as training, returning equipment, etc....why do you think you won't?
