Personal level hr complain

I hope hr people read this.
When I was laid off lots of people sent message of support. I was not expecting it and it was nice.
After a few days however I realised that one of the few people I worked every week with and didn’t show up was my hr partner.
If you work in hr and you have close partners, please have the decency to show a human side when we are let go.

Having a bigger human side than the rest is part of your job, it’s literally in the title!, and if it’s not natural to you, please find another job!

Everyone else I am ok, but HR person who didn’t communicate with me, you su-k!

When I got let go the Hr rep, who I never had spoken to or even knew their name, told me “I had a good run” after 28 years.

The keyword in HR is ‘resources’ not human. It’s the equivalent of cattle to ranchers, considered as either being herded or sla—ghtered.

Now wait 2 more weeks and all those colleagues still inside the berm that you looked condidered as friends will have forgotten about you and will continue to live in their small little bubble drinking the koolaid. Which Maxim was Nike is a company again?

Are you saying that companies can prevent you from sending a “sorry to hear, was great working with you” message on your own time after work ?

What else can companies prevent you from doing? Can you join a happy hour with an ex employee and is it different if you are in hr?

HR is not allowed to contact fired employees.

Chill with your feelings. Nobody cares. Su-ks but that’s the truth. It’s not personal.

They all got some guidance to not respond and stay away.

It’s because they know they did a dirty. Same thing happened to me.

Exact same experience here. Even HR partners from close functions reached but a total no show from the HR partner that I worked with. Go figure.
