Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Site and culture

I'm curious. Which site are you at and what is the culture and morale like at your location? I'm interviewing with Fiserv and I want to get honest feedback from employees (current or recently employed there).

If you need to feed yourself and/or your family, and this is the only job you can get to do that, go for it. Otherwise, stay far, far, far away.

I am a retiree, working there 26 years. My group & boss were great. I was asked to stay the week prior to my departure, and I MIGHT get laid off within 90 days with a good severance pay check. I opted to just go. I was remote, but to go to town meetings and listen to the BS was more than I could deal with. I can truly say that upper management does NOT care about the customer. So if you do, don' work at FISERV.

You've found this site. I'm sure you've read many of the posts. And yet you still are considering applying? Nothing personal, but you deserve whatever you walk into. That's like seeing a building on fire and running in. Unless you're a firefighter, you're supposed to get out.

Just left because of everything stated in the comments. If it’s experience you need… get it and get out. Consider Fiserv your starter home.

Job market su-ks right now. If you need a job or experience join with only the thought of gaining a foothold to go somewhere else. Very low trust micromanagement culture. Against remote/hybrid work. Compensation can’t compete with other companies in the industry and yearly increases are terrible. The new offices look nice but realistically are packed to the gills with lines outside of stalls to go to the bathroom, subpar food, and downright horrendous parking. Long story short I don’t know a single person who is happy to work at Fiserv and we all keep running jokes of how bad this company is. Of course there are some corporate bots who are afraid to criticize the place but really any job will have those. The individual people you will work with will be the highlight of your day as we are all getting through this mess together which builds comradely. Join for some experience or if you are in an economic pinch, then start applying elsewhere I’m dead serious save yourself the trouble.

Yeah … the culture is such that nobody would post here the sites they are working from for fear of being discovered and eliminated.

As a former employee who worked here for over 10 years, I’d advise to stay away. It’s all very dysfunctional at best. There are better places to work with less daily fear and stress just in worrying about showing up and doing your job … as a good employee. It’s just not a healthy environment from the top down. Which is really sad , there are / were good people there but the new leadership is toxic which completely overshadows the good things.

Company culture, is to be suspicious of anonymous posts on the internet because Fiserv could be using it to identify "problematic" employees at various locations.

Well it depends on your job and manager. In a whole, the company tracks your badge swipes in and out. Some folks have monitoring on their pc. New hires are in the office 5 days a week. So as a seasoned professional, I don't like that micromanaging.
