Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

What's YOUR long term strategy?

I think we can all agree that Truist is a dumpster fire, but for most of us, the paychecks aren't bad. Set aside the part where we all want to feel good about the work we do with a company that values us. My question is: is anyone else feeling more valuable by the day with the mass departures in commercial, wealth, tis, etc? They have to have SOMEONE in these roles, right? Does anyone else see this as an opportunity to work as little as possible to collect a full paycheck because upper management is too busy to notice or care? And even if they do notice, do they have the ba--s to truly fire people?

Im waiting on my one year so I don’t have to pay my bonus back. Truist is the worst job I’ve ever had. I only came because a friend told me how good it was and then he was laid off. I couldn’t care less if I’m laid off or not.

To get as much experience as possible, get on as many people’s good sides and to keep riding that train until two things happen, 1 finish school and leave Truist in the dust or 2 finally get tired and start applying for, “fu-k it” jobs and see what sticks.

@kzg+1sA8uxhz Precisely how I feel. Using my extra time in the evenings/wknds to hone my skills and plan my next move.

Mine is (and time will tell) being lucky enough to be jettisoned with TIH.

I will do as little as possible while collecting my nice salary, bonus and stock options.
