Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Be careful of the bottom feeders that are always negative

They are and have been negative even before this sh-t. Don't feed the bottom feeders. Let them go through their own truth. Don't let them bring you down into a more negative state.

Narcissism: selfishness, involving a sense of entitlement, a lack of empathy, and a need for admiration, as characterizing a personality type.

They know it all and act like they have knowledge about your position and or status. They don't. These are the ones that make you second guess your thoughts, current status or last status and engage in bashing. If you've been impacted? Seek therapy and not a current angry employee. Not impacted? Seek therapy and not a current angry employee. Feeding the hate, angst or frustration solves nothing. I am not HR. I've already been impacted and vented my sh-t to someone that only made it worse for me. Then I realized the power shift, or manipulation that made it worse. People are fu---d up.
"I know more than you know" right now.

Some employees are just permanently angry and are convinced they are smarter and more talented than anyone else.

Sometimes all we need is TLC.

Wishing everyone the best! Good Luck!

I think this is more of a be careful who you vent to situation because you truly never know how others will react… so if you are venting to a colleague be sure you trust and know them well to have such a conversation.. and for some that’s a no brainer…

Maybe, just maybe, due to the lack of transparency from Nike leadership, folks will gravitate towards filling in the voids with rumor, knowledge of past layoffs, and/or educated guesses; or a melding of them to come up with their own version of the truth. In the end, Nike brings that upon themselves. If you look at how labor laws are in place in Europe, it puts far more straightforward rules on companies that do business there for employee access to wages, benefits, and severance packages. Given that Nike purports to be so progressive, its odd that they CHOOSE to be so cloak and dagger in the USA when it comes to this. They will adapt the strictest local environmental laws in the product they create to be able to market it globally, but don't afford the same courtesy to its employees.
